PHP 7.2, offering a significant increase in speed over v5.6, has now been enabled as the default for all new and existing accounts on Four Lakes hosting. This ensures that a supported version of PHP is being used, and should also result in a significant improvement in load time for all websites created using a Content Management System such as WordPress.
In carrying out the upgrade we were aware that a small number of customer sites were not capable of running under PHP 7.2 For those accounts we have set the default back to PHP 5.6
If you wish to use a different version of PHP then look for MultiPHP manager in your cPanel admin screen. This will allow you to choose from a number of PHP versions. If you need help with this facility then please create a support ticket.
